DESCRIPTION:Driving with maps or: Finding your way in the glassy landscape 
 of an amorphous solid\nMuhittin Mungan\, University of Bonn\n\nThe energy 
 landscape of sheared amorphous solids\, even when probed under athermal an
 d quasistatic (AQS) conditions\, reveals rich features\, such as a transit
 ion from brittle to ductile response and yielding. In this talk I will arg
 ue that a natural (and rigorous) way of representing this AQS response is 
 via "maps"\, i.e. state transition graphs. This opens the way for understa
 nding dynamical features in terms of the topological structure of the unde
 rlying transition graph. Moreover\, such graphs can be readily extracted f
 rom simulations of sheared amorphous solids.\n
