DESCRIPTION:Maths against malaria\nLuca Barberi (Medicines for Malaria Vent
 ure\, Geneva)\nNo one should die from malaria. Yet in 2024\, more than a q
 uarter of a billion people fell sick and over 600\,000 lives were lost –
  most of them young children. Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) is a not
 -for-profit product development partnership working to discover\, develop 
 and deliver medicines to treat\, prevent and eliminate malaria. At MMV\, m
 athematical modeling informs key decisions at all stages of drug developme
 nt\, through the framework of pharmacometrics. I will present a general in
 troduction to MMV's pharmacometrics approaches\, as well as two recent pro
 jects where pharmacometrics meets machine learning.
