DESCRIPTION:A microscopic implementation of non Functional Renormalization 
 Group in classical and quantum models\nAlberto Parola\, Universita' dell'I
 nsubria\, Como\, Italy\nA general framework for implementing the Renormali
 zation Group ideas to microscopic models in classical and quantum statisti
 cal physics is presented. The method\, referred to as HRT\, is devised so 
 to retain information on non universal properties throughout the renormali
 zation process by avoiding any coarse-graining procedure and the mapping o
 nto effective models. Different implementations of HRT are briefly reviewe
 d pointing out the close relationship with non-perturbative renormalizatio
 n group methods. The critical properties of HRT for a O(n) order parameter
  are summarized\, together with the behavior of the theory at first-order 
 phase transitions. Applications to simple microscopic models in classical 
 and quantum statistical physics\, both on and off lattice\, are discussed.
