DESCRIPTION:Cosmic Inflation and Quantum Mechanics\nJérôme Martin (IAP)\n
 One of the most important insight of modern Cosmology is that galaxies are
  of quantum-mechanical origin. According to the theory of inflation\, they
  are indeed nothing but quantum fluctuations\namplified by gravitational i
 nstability and stretched to cosmological distances by cosmic expansion. In
  this talk\, I describe this mechanism and discuss the implications for pr
 imordial cosmology but also for\nfoundational issues in Quantum Mechanics.
