DESCRIPTION:\nMeasurement-altered criticality: theory\, experiments and qua
 ntum applications\nSara Murciano (LPTMS)\n&nbsp\;\n\nQuantum critical syst
 ems constitute appealing platforms for the exploration of novel measuremen
 t-induced phenomena due to their innate sensitivity to perturbations. I wi
 ll discuss the impact of measurement on Ising chains using an explicit pro
 tocol\, whereby uncorrelated ancillae are entangled with the critical chai
 n and then projectively measured. I will identify different protocols wher
 ein measurements (i) weakly modify the universal long-range entanglement a
 nd (ii) they completely obliterate it. I will also highlight a path to exp
 erimental realization in analog quantum simulators based on Rydberg atom a
 rrays. Finally\, I will describe how these ideas can establish a long-term
  quantum science application of ‘measurement-altered quantum criticality
 ’.\n\n&nbsp\;
