{"id":292,"date":"2016-01-04T21:29:56","date_gmt":"2016-01-04T21:29:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lptms.u-psud.fr\/clelia-de-mulatier\/?page_id=292"},"modified":"2022-07-03T16:19:54","modified_gmt":"2022-07-03T16:19:54","slug":"phd-thesis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lptms.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/clelia-de-mulatier\/phd-thesis\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD Thesis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"padding: 0px 22px 0px\">\nFrom 2012 to 2015, I worked as a PhD student at Universit\u00e9 Paris Sud at the <a href=\"http:\/\/lptms.u-psud.fr\/alberto_rosso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laboratoire de Physique Th\u00e9orique et Mod\u00e8les Statistiques<\/a> and at the CEA Saclay, under the supervision of <a href=\"http:\/\/lptms.u-psud.fr\/alberto_rosso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alberto Rosso<\/a> (Paris Sud), Cheikh Diop and <a href=\"http:\/\/scholar.google.fr\/citations?user=LHBSI5YAAAAJ&amp;hl=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Andrea Zoia <\/a> (CEA).\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0px 22px 0px\">\nDuring these three years, I have been mainly interested in branching random walks and anomalous diffusion in the context of stochastic neutron transport in nuclear reactor physics.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0px 22px 0px\">\nMy PhD thesis \u00ab\u00a0<strong>A random walk approach to stochastic neutron transport<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb is available  <a href=\"http:\/\/lptms.u-psud.fr\/clelia-de-mulatier\/files\/2016\/01\/Manuscript_these_deMulatier.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. The manuscript tackles several problems of neutron transport that cannot be solved with the usual approaches of neutronics (which assume neutron\u2019s displacements to be Brownian and use mean field theory). The results are not restricted to applications in neutron transport.
