Dear colleagues,

I would like to inform you of a newly opened post-doc position within the ERC project SENSES (making Sense of Electrical Noise by Simulating Electrolyte Solutions), which aims at providing an integrated understanding of electrical fluctuations in bulk, interfacial and confined ionic fluids.

The post-doctoral fellow will investigate what we can learn from the charge fluctuations of an electrode on the structure and dynamics of the interfacial electrolyte. The project will make use of particle-based simulations with explicit or implicit solvent, realistic models for metallic electrodes in classical simulations and enhanced sampling methods. The possibility to extract information from charge fluctuations on, e.g., the concentration and diffusion coefficient of ions in nanofluidic devices will be tested in collaboration with a Paris-based experimental electrochemistry group.

This position is for 2 years, with an expected starting date between April and October 2021 (to be discussed with the candidates), at the PHENIX laboratory in Sorbonne Université (Paris, France).
