A two-year postdoctoral position is available in my soft biophysics theory group
at the Turing Centre for Living Systems (Centuri), in Marseille, France. The goal
is to develop and apply techniques to infer stochastic dynamical equations from
experimental data of biological and soft matter systems, from colloids and
intracellular filaments to cells and flocks of birds. Possible directions include the
development of inference methods for non-Markovian systems, as well as the
application of existing techniques for overdamped and underdamped Langevin
systems on experimental data. A strong theoretical background in statistical
physics and soft matter is required. To apply, please send a CV and brief
statement of motivation to pierre.ronceray@univ-amu.fr. Applications will be
reviewed until the position is filled.
