25th September 2018 : Postdoc & PhD – computational biomechanics – U. of Edinburgh

Dear colleagues,

I would be grateful if you could circulate the job adverts below amongst
your contacts.

I am currently looking for ambitious and motivated researchers to join
my group at The University of Edinburgh, UK, at the Postdoctoral
Research Fellow and PhD student level. Both projects are in the area of
computational biomechanics with applications to Tissue Engineering and
blood flow in complex vascular networks, respectively.

 * Postdoctoral Research Fellow. MyoChip: Building a 3D innervated and
irrigated muscle on a chip. See poster in the attachment. We are
currently accepting expressions of interest across the consortium. A job
opening in Edinburgh will follow shortly.

 * PhD Scholarship. Blood flow modelling in complex vascular networks:
from cancer diagnosis to treatment planning.

The successful candidates will join a growing and multidisciplinary
group. They will benefit from hands-on supervision, access to
world-class computational resources and training, and a worldwide
network of collaborators spanning across disciplines. Edinburgh is a
vibrant city consistently ranked amongst the top places to live in the UK.

Best wishes,
Miguel
