Renormalization group analysis of the Anderson model in finite and infinite dimensions
Antonello Scardicchio (ICTP Trieste)
(Speaker online, see zoom info below)
I will discuss the localization-delocalization transitions in the Anderson model. Starting from the classic one-parameter scaling theory of Anderson et al, I will show for modern observables how the RG flow evolves as the number of dimensions is increased, and how this becomes the flow of the Anderson model on expander graphs and other infinite dimensional lattices, explaining the numerical observation of recent years. The implications for a critical theory of the Many-Body Localization transition will also be discussed.
