theoretical/computational biophysics (using soft matter techniques) at
Syracuse University in my research group, in collaboration with some
outstanding experimental colleagues.
A National Institutes of Health funded postdoctoral position in
theoretical biophysics is available to investigate biophysical
mechanisms of tissue morphogenesis starting in Spring or Summer 2022. A
long-standing collaboration between the _Manning group at Syracuse
at Upstate Medical University
mathematical modeling of mechanical properties of tissues with
experimental in vivocell biology in living zebrafish embryos to
understand how biophysical forces impact cellular behaviors during
morphogenesis. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty
mentors in physics (Dr. Lisa Manning), developmental biology (Dr.
Jeffrey Amack), and cell biology (Dr. Heidi Hehnly) to develop
predictive biophysical models for the mechanical forces and biochemical
signaling that drive morphogenesis, andcollaborate on developing
innovative image analysis workflows. Candidates who are interested in
