The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh is
seeking to fill two open-ended (tenured) academic positions within the
Institute for Condensed Matter and Complex Systems (ICMCS):
1. Lecturer or Reader in Theoretical Soft Matter, Statistical and
Biological Physics
2. Reader in Experimental Soft Matter, Statistical and Biological Physics
The successful candidates will have a significant or growing
international reputation, whose work complements and enhances existing
strengths in our Soft Matter, Statistical and Biological Physics group.
We particularly seek candidates with expertise in non-equilibrium
statistical mechanics and its application to the modelling of soft,
active, and biological matter systems. The successful candidate for the
experimental position will have strong affinity with our theoretical
activities in these areas, and will be committed to knowledge exchange
with industry and/or the healthcare sector.
